She is a 2008 graduate of Bossier Parish Community Colleges Culinary Arts program. She has been written about in local publications and magazines. She has been featured in Louisiana Life magazine as a Great Louisiana Chef and also featured in its Woman Works edition.
Tootie is the 2015 Louisiana Food Prize Golden Fork Champion, a Chopped style cooking Competition. Tootie has appeared on Food Networks Guys Grocery Games. Tootie has also received two outstanding African American awards for her Outstanding works while employed as Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager at Abby Singers Bistro inside Robinson Film Center, an Arthouse style Movie theater located in downtown Shreveport.
After six years of employment with Abby Singers Bistro, Tootie resigned in March of 2018 to start her own business. Tootie received a Scholarship from the Ross Lynn Chartible Foundation to travel to Northern Africa, Morroco in May of 2018, on a culinary adventure.
Tootie is the Owner and Chef of Earnestly Tootie’s Chef Services,a Private Chef and Catering Company located in Shreveport Louisiana.
